What we did
Milton's gusts peeled shingles off every slope of this two-story home, leaving bare spots down to the felt on the main roof and both front gables. The shingles that stayed were 17 years old, brittle, and had lost most of their granules.
We were on the roof two days after the homeowner called, photographed every slope, and met the insurance adjuster on site the following week. The claim was approved for a full replacement, and we had it done in two days.
- Tore off both layers down to the deck and replaced 6 sheets of soft plywood
- Synthetic underlayment, plus peel-and-stick in every valley and around the chimney chase
- GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Charcoal with matching hip and ridge caps
- New drip edge, pipe boots and a continuous ridge vent
- Magnet-swept the lawn and beds twice, then walked the property with the homeowner
